swung0x48 242663c9ae [Docs] (P13): P13 closes - exit gates, device smoke and the deferred device list are recorded, and the roadmap moves to P14. 2026-10-06 22:33:02 -04:00
swung0x48 d52c031c50 [Docs] (Design): state ownership for multi-session/context/share-group (P14)
The whole stack assumes one process = one server = one session = one
context = one share group. The anland unified server needs that equation
broken in the library instead of fork-per-app workers. This document fixes
the four ownership layers (session, context, share group, thread current),
the wire changes (per-record context slot, CreateContext/DestroyContext
SurfaceOps, context-tagged reverse events), and the staged plan P14a-d
with acceptance tests.

swung0x48 0fe015886e [Docs] (Disaggregated): the top-level files become short indexes in plain language; the design text moves to design/, the how-to and reference material to guide/
- README, ARCHITECTURE, ROADMAP, MEASUREMENTS and CURRENT_STAGE_PROGRESS are rewritten as indexes
(84 KB -> 15 KB): what the project is, where it stands, and where each detail lives. ROADMAP is one
  plain sentence per phase; MEASUREMENTS is the five conclusions that matter plus one line per phase;
CURRENT_STAGE_PROGRESS is the P12 goal, a checklist and the next steps.
- ARCHITECTURE's body moves unchanged into ten design/ files, keeping §1-§17 and appendices A/B, so
`ARCHITECTURE.md §N` references in code resolve through the table in ARCHITECTURE.md.
- guide/ holds build-and-run, code map, glossary and the engineering discipline (from README and
ROADMAP), and the device pinning record that used to sit in devices/.
- The open-debt table moves to notes/DEBTS.md; the detailed current-stage tables (with decision IDs,
the open line items and evidence locations) move into notes/p12/README.md. notes/README.md maps
  every moved path and section.
- The documentation citation lint in test.yml also covers design/ and guide/, which describe the
current tree as the top-level files did.
2026-09-24 22:39:46 +00:00
swung0x48 43b5cfa94e [Docs] (Disaggregated): the four index documents keep only summaries, and every phase's detail lives in its own notes/<phase>/README.md
- ROADMAP, MEASUREMENTS and ARCHITECTURE are rewritten as summaries (333 KB of index text -> 84 KB).
ROADMAP's phase table is one line per phase plus a link; MEASUREMENTS keeps headline numbers under
its old §1-§13 numbering (plus §14-§16 for P6.5, P7 and P12); ARCHITECTURE keeps every decided rule
under the same §1-§17 / appendix numbering, so the `ARCHITECTURE.md §N` references in code still
land, and §17 becomes an index of the phase landing shapes.
- CURRENT_STAGE_PROGRESS now describes the current stage (the P12 on-screen-server subset) and absorbs
CURRENT_STAGE_STATUS, which is removed. The P7 status tables, the P6 closing snapshot and the P6.5
  first-wave snapshot move to notes/p7, notes/p6 and notes/p65.
- Each phase gets notes/<phase>/README.md: a short summary, then the verbatim material that left
the index documents (its ROADMAP row, its MEASUREMENTS section with subsection numbers kept, its
  ARCHITECTURE §17 part, milestones) and a file index. P8-P11 and P13 get their planned scope;
the full open-question list moves to notes/OPEN-QUESTIONS.md.
- The phase reports that sat at the top level move into their phase folders with unchanged names:
  P5D-INPROC-PERFORMANCE, P5E-RUNAHEAD, P5F-WIRE-COMPLETENESS, P6-SPAWN-PLAN, P6-CONTRACT-DRAFT,
P6-ENDSTATE-REVIEW. Their relative links, CONTRACT-P6.md's links to them and one tool docstring
are updated; notes/README.md maps every old path and section number to its new place.
- 71 files under notes/recovered/ that were byte-identical copies of phase-folder files are removed.
- Corrections made while condensing: the server process reads Transport as Spawn (CONTRACT-P6 §3.1
  amended the old "child forces monolith" rule); both backends now publish kCapRunAheadApply;
MOBILEGL_IPC_RESPAWN is a named refusal and MOBILEGL_IPC_IDLE_EXIT_S is not parsed; the Redmi
  pin row is in tools/device_bench/pin_device.sh.

check_doc_citations over docs/Disaggregated/*.md: 0 problems. No relative link is newly broken.

swung0x48 b7ad6113ee [Docs] (P12 review): the P12 decision log, ARCHITECTURE §15.2's on-screen path, and the ROADMAP P12 row record the review round
- notes/p12/INTEGRATOR-DECISIONS-P12.md (new): ID-P12-1..4 the subset's shape (the user rulings, one surface mode per session, the lost-window order, the in-process thread hand-off), ID-P12-5..11 the review round's ten fixes (two majors: the lost window answered before every ring record, the ended session's Espryt unit shadows emptied with its twins), ID-P12-12 IterationRP out of scope, ID-P12-13 the device stage not re-run in this environment.
- ARCHITECTURE.md §15.2: the deleted Surface -> AIDL window path is struck through, and the server-owned window path, the lost-window contract and the in-process session boundary are described.
- ROADMAP.md: the P12 row's status names the review round and that the device checks were not repeated.

swung0x48 cb0404f2b9 [Docs] (P12): the on-screen server window's plan, audit, harness and device evidence move into the tree, and the status page says what this line is and what it still owes - CURRENT_STAGE_STATUS records that the P12 subset is implemented but NOT handed off (both exit gates unrun: no cross-machine TCP, no FCL + kill-server device-lost), the ROADMAP P12 row stops reading "待排", and notes/p12 carries the brief, the four read-only audits, the gate and device harness, and the curated device evidence (check transcripts, replay verdicts, on-screen captures; logcat left out per notes/README.md's evidence-data rule) 2026-09-24 07:44:40 -04:00

swung0x48 dd415408dd [docs] (P7): CONTRACT-P7 §10.7 and §12 and the ROADMAP Ph row record the int3 follow-ups: the narrowed latch window, null-or-unit-private image units and five new debts 2026-09-23 17:49:47 -04:00
swung0x48 6afa077f96 [docs] (P7): ID-P7-57/58/59 - F2 finishes the Ph items, gate 5's three inproc CTS defects are fixed, and device window 2 is tooled 2026-09-23 15:52:33 -04:00

swung0x48 9cea514010 [docs] (P7): ph-f.md §6/§7 record the F fix round - the fingerprint refusal is one-directional and an un-redeployed phone shows as "no Welcome", the unix pairing window and the two pre-auth exposures are §12 debts, the token minimum is TCP-only, and the token examples are 16+ bytes
- ph-f.md: §0 rows F-a..F-d with package-tree SHAs; §2.2 states the asymmetry (new server + old client -> Refuse{WireFingerprint}; old server + new client -> the old AcceptPair closes both after 2000 ms and the client sees `no Welcome ... (rc=6)`, no Refuse frame); §6 the four fix commits with their red-once lines; §6.4 the unix arrival-order pairing (250 ms / 2000 ms) as a local-peer debt with the SELinux assumption named, and the two pre-auth exposures; §7 the gates on 2b2a0ae0
- CONTRACT-P7 §12: the two pre-auth exposures (fork before Hello with a 10 s wait; ValidatePeerHandshake before AuthenticatePeerToken sends the fingerprint and build stamp to an unauthenticated peer), the unix pairing debt, and the fingerprint asymmetry, for PH-7 (5)
- PLAN-PH-P34B-P7: PH-7 (3) says the minimum is checked at the TCP listen; PH-8 says "ignored, server-sized" rather than "clamped"; the no-token listen row's remaining-work cell no longer claims the smoke is unreferenced
- device-window-1-runbook §2 step 3: the un-redeployed-phone symptom, and where to look first
- ROADMAP §6 and peer-loss-probe: `MOBILEGL_IPC_TOKEN=devtoken` (8 bytes, which now exits 72) becomes a 25-byte token in every example

swung0x48 87584d0b01 [docs] (P7): ID-P7-38 - B2 round 2 and the B3 fix round land with fixes, F's gate is green, E1's census is on the tree
- the two ROADMAP row segments E1 changed that did not merge onto the integrator's rows

swung0x48 99882304f6 [docs] (P7): E1's census pages cite the rewritten commits

swung0x48 b05406b5d9 [docs, tools] (P7): CURRENT_STAGE_STATUS §5 and the ROADMAP P3b/P4b and P7 rows mark the §7.2 re-run and the Iris census done at 1135c664, with the P3b/P4b gate "every Iris trace" now pointing at host results and an empty P9 exception list 2026-09-22 21:11:19 -04:00
swung0x48 03145fa464 [docs, tools] (P7): MEASUREMENTS §7.2 same-name re-run at 1135c664 - the 27 P5 inproc wrong answers read 24 passed / 3 named stops / 0 failed on inproc and spawn, the 1267-name lane 1051/172/37/7, and the ROADMAP debt row and CONTRACT-P7 §11/§12 lines are closed on those numbers 2026-09-22 21:09:20 -04:00
swung0x48 bd6cd40bf8 [docs] (P7): ID-P7-37 - B2 round 2, the B3 fix round, V1 and F's first three slices are on the integration tree with a green gate, and §12 carries their recorded debts
- the trailer rewrite the user asked for is recorded (origin 1135c664 -> 3c80cd62, same trees)
- CONTRACT-P7 §12 transcribes the debt lines from magma-b2.md §6, magma-b3.md §7.2,
  verify-split.md §6 and ph-f.md §4
- the status page's gate table, landed table, running table and next steps follow
2026-09-22 21:03:51 -04:00
swung0x48 8a445a3098 [docs] (P7): every cited feat/disaggregated commit is the rewritten one without the attribution trailer
- 144 commits from 785fed0b0 onward were rewritten to drop the Co-Authored-By trailer the
project forbids; origin/feat/disaggregated moved from 1135c664 to 3c80cd62 (same trees)
- the old->new map is ~/w7/logs/sha-map-20260922.txt; every 7..40-hex citation in the
Disaggregated docs and the MG_Remote contracts that matched an old SHA is replaced by the
same-length prefix of its rewrite; no other content changes

swung0x48 1b9aa65145 [docs] (P7): the pipe commits the status page and ID-P7-35/36 cite are the ones without attribution trailers
- the sixteen unpushed integration commits after 1135c664 were rewritten to drop the
Co-Authored-By trailer the project forbids (commit-style rule, user 2026-07-15 and
2026-09-09); their SHAs changed, so every citation of the old SHAs is remapped here
- no content change beyond the SHA text
2026-09-22 20:42:30 -04:00
swung0x48 542c5838e2 [docs] (P7): ID-P7-36 - the B3 rework lands with fixes, one knob-exception list survives the merge, and the OpenRA split retrace with its new red condition is part of every pipe gate
The status page's exit-gate table now says item (7) verify x split is reported and
on pipe pending its gate and review, and the running table names the B3 fix round
and the V1 review.
2026-09-22 20:38:59 -04:00
swung0x48 613ed05b98 [docs] (P7): ID-P7-35 - the B2 rework's first round is sent back, because its new case also lands on the monolith and Espryt entries and its per-row copy-out needs an aligned stride
The status page and the ROADMAP P7 row now say what is in flight after the six
packages were relaunched on claude-opus-5-5: B2 rework round 2, B3 rework, M2, V1,
F and E1. pipe stays at 1b5d97bd and is not pushed until round 2 lands.
2026-09-22 20:21:23 -04:00
swung0x48 3c80cd62fe [docs] (P7): ID-P7-34 - OpenRA passes 27/27 on the phone; CURRENT_STAGE_STATUS.md is the live stage page and the ROADMAP rows say where P7, Ph and P3b/P4b stand
p7w5 (B3 on top of B2 and D3) renders OpenRA to the golden on every arm
the acceptance asked for - inproc and spawn, run-ahead and lockstep,
cold and warm, FIF=8 and the dump-armed variant that failed 0/5 before -
and the three regressions are bit-identical to p7w4. Gate 3's anchor
case is closed; bsl-esc-menu (M2) and the three-repeat final form remain.

docs/Disaggregated/CURRENT_STAGE_STATUS.md is new: the nine-item exit
denominator with evidence, what landed, what is running, what is next.
The ROADMAP's P7, Ph and P3b/P4b rows carry the wave-2 landing, the 6/9
checkpoint and the open items, and OQ-8/10/13 are marked answered.

swung0x48 e19095269b [docs, MG_Remote] (P7): the roadmap rows say what the tree says, and CONTRACT-P7 is drafted
ROADMAP.md: the Ph / P3b-P4b / P7 rows carry the audit's verdicts and the factual
corrections it found - the @P7 refusal list is 15 sites in 4 files (the row printed 8),
the 29-commit DirectVulkan shape wave was never recorded, the device divergence is two
observations with no per-case attribution and no lockstep control, SetupDrawSnapshot /
content-addressed CSO are declined for this stage, "XFB scatter to client" is retired
in favour of the two real holes, readback/pack state splits into closed and open
halves, the NDK size pin is obsolete, PACK-PBO readback landed in 70df57bb, the ABI
fingerprint landed in P6.5, and OQ-8 / OQ-10 / OQ-13 / OQ-21 get their current answers.
P6-ENDSTATE-REVIEW.md:284 qualifies an Init.cpp citation the lint reported ambiguous.

MG_Remote/CONTRACT-P7.md: rules I (no std::abort on the Magma wire arm) and J (every
fix reds once on a two-process arm), the five exit gates in testable form, the
retire-vs-decline table for every @P7 name, the ratchet's definition and P7 target,
the nine-subsystem denominator for the 40% checkpoint, the wave-2 file partition,
and the amendments to CONTRACT-P6. Census, ratchet and lane numbers are marked

swung0x48 fe28bdb5f3 [MG_Remote, MG_Pipe, MG_Test, CI, tools, docs] (P6.5): the first wave completed and reviewed - archive v2, publication boundary, half-close, AcceptPair/role fixes, device re-validation 2026-09-22 10:56:19 -04:00
swung0x48 35b3283bd9 [docs] (P6): the closeout - gates 7 and 8 are measured and P6 is closed
The device gate: Redmi 2f7cbe2e, reboot-clean, paired A/B in one thermal
window (arms interleaved, best-of-3 then best-of-2), rd12 + DirectGLES.
inproc vs spawn client CPU p50 7.880/7.889 vs 7.876/7.869 (-0.15%) and
7.987/7.989 vs 7.992/8.009 (+0.16%) - a tie inside the 0.2-4.2% within-
arm spread, sign flipping with arm order, recorded and not gated.
monolith is ~30% dearer. 22/22 runner exits clean, 44/44 PINNED, zero
Fatal.

The three mandatory numbers: socket doorbell vs condvar is a tie too -
client 121.1 waits/frame identical across transports, server 10 866-11
963 (inproc) vs 10 415-10 416 (spawn) waits/frame, and the contract's
'converting that into ~4 blocking reads may be cheaper' did not pay off;
the only column where the socket is worse is clipark/f (6.07 vs 5.60/5.75).
SEG_STAGE bytes/frame: 130.8 KB median / 8.01 MB steady (OpenRA), 816.2
KB / 1.53 MB (rd12). Records/frame post-chunking: 211/206 and 7 497/7
504. maxrec stays 1808 - the 8 MiB chunk budget is never reached. Both
framings reported throughout (the startup window runs ~7x the steady
state) rather than the flattering one.

MEASUREMENTS.md gains section 12 with the full protocol and tables; the
6.3 'no post-chunking distribution exists' gap now points there.
CURRENT_STAGE_PROGRESS.md marks gates 7/8 met and records the closeout
work plus two structural limits (spawn client windowed fields are zero
by construction - OnPresent runs in the server process - though its run
totals are valid stores; the stats dump is role-derived). ROADMAP marks
P6 closed in the stage table, the header and the milestone.

Evidence: notes/p6/gate7-device-ab.md, gate8-doorbell-device.md,
gate8-wire-counters.md, git-worktree-fix.md. check_doc_citations: 82
citations in the three documents, 0 problems.

subset as the acceptance. The P6.5 row now points at it.

What the design rests on, verified in the tree: the control plane already
treats the rendezvous as a NAME with two ordered connections (SocketTransport),
ClientSession::StartOverSocket already separates "how the socket came" from the
handshake, MGPBlobRef addresses kSegStage only through one ResolveOrFatal, the
reply header and the event heads are already wire-shaped, LogLine exists in
CtrlMsg with no producer, goldens are shared between desktop and device, and
the trace APK can already exec libMobileGLServer.so from nativeLibraryDir.

What it does not rest on, stated rather than assumed: ILink is declared and
unused beyond LinkProgress, ShmLink does not exist, both sessions hold
SessionSegments directly - the lk seam body from the end-state review was never
built and is this wave's first package (lk2). The manifest has no INTERNET
permission.

The mechanism: StreamLink as mirrored private segments replicated by messages -
same sizes both ends, same offsets, so the codec, the watermark rules, the apply
thread and the encoder do not change; RingControl becomes Progress frames sent
on flush-on-idle (the recorded amendment to "appliedSeq is never lazy": late by
at most one flush, never early); replies become seq-stamped messages; the event
ring is mirrored with the P5e blocking rule intact. Cross-architecture makes
the PipeFields.def layout digest mandatory (wf). Server logs on another machine
make LogLine forwarding mandatory (lf) so the 34 server-log readers stay
unchanged. A --serve supervisor forks one child per session on the device,
started by a foreground Service in the trace APK.

Packages lk2 -> wf -> ct -> sl -> lf -> sv -> t65, each with red-once; the gate
list, the mandatory numbers (kWaitReply per frame x RTT, SEG_STAGE bytes/frame
against the link, PRESENT_CREDIT 1..3), the two-sided configuration runbook and
the risks (RTT per reply row, single large uploads, AP isolation) are in the
section. check_doc_citations: 74 citations, 0 problems.
