swung0x48 575be3532d [Perf] (TLS): pGLContext and gPipeInputs become pointer slots 2026-10-10 04:14:09 -04:00
swung0x48 b4e209e12b [Perf] (Espryt): a shadow of each driver VAO's attribute state makes the vertex walk emit only differences (FCL host GLES calls 3717 -> 850/frame, CPU 2.78 -> 2.67 ms at cpuhunt). 2026-10-08 10:49:29 -04:00
swung0x48 785df78d77 [Perf] (P14): one UBO-ring lookup per draw, split residual copy/stamp loops, one context read for GPU-write marks, Magma slice stamps from the owner's counter (rd12 monolith Espryt 88.8 -> 90.3, Magma 69.8 -> 70.3 fps). 2026-10-07 16:06:02 -04:00
swung0x48 afcf8d96f9 [Perf] (Espryt): a VAO twin adopts an unchanged buffer set and element buffer instead of re-emitting them (rd12 monolith 75.2 -> 80.5 fps). 2026-10-07 12:15:10 -04:00
swung0x48 a9108e1a0b [Perf] (Espryt): a VAO twin whose buffer set alone moved re-points enabled arrays without the 32-slot enable walk (rd12 monolith 70.3 -> 73.5 fps). 2026-10-07 10:07:43 -04:00
swung0x48 de6ab16756 [Refactor] (P13): the legacy BufferBackendOps table, Magma's never-populated texture/render-pass/renderbuffer caches and VkClearManager go, and the buffer mock tests drive the resource op table instead (ratchet 36 -> 27). 2026-10-06 21:39:39 -04:00
swung0x48 fa77b1874f [Refactor] (P13): Espryt's frontend-keyed slot-table entries and the apply-thread refusals go, death notices release twins by handle, and the link ratchet refuses any '# P13' line (49 -> 36 symbols). 2026-10-06 20:55:16 -04:00
swung0x48 dab827d54f [Refactor] (P13 W6e): the backends' frontend-framebuffer clear, blit and readback entries go - the verb port owns those slots in every mode - with Magma's frontend render-pass, pending-clear and renderbuffer halves. 2026-10-06 18:57:15 -04:00
swung0x48 8bc39c79d2 [Test] (P13 W6d): the unmigrated-emulation list is empty, the dead storage-view format case goes, and Espryt's bring-up check is the colour-attachment cap alone. 2026-10-06 18:20:50 -04:00
swung0x48 8abae647d0 [Refactor] (P13 W6d): Espryt's family arm predicates fold to the record arm, checked once at capability bring-up, and the frontend-arm walks they selected go. 2026-10-06 18:08:33 -04:00
swung0x48 dc1e95b4c3 [Refactor] (P13 W6c): Magma's frontend arm goes - the frontend program source, sampled-set walk, placeholder textures, VAO draw memos, identity tables and fast path - leaving the record arm. 2026-10-06 17:55:44 -04:00
swung0x48 e0113503af [Refactor] (P13 W6b): the frontend-arm code after each record-arm return goes, and the transform-feedback state keeps one role. 2026-10-06 16:46:09 -04:00
swung0x48 742d43aeb4 [Refactor] (P13 W6b): the data-arm predicate folds out of every backend branch; frontend-arm unit cases go, three adapted, and two GL sampling rules move to an integration scenario. 2026-10-06 16:39:52 -04:00

swung0x48 ff2120616d [Feature] (P14): key the backend twin tables by session and share group
The last piece of state ownership this phase owed: the eight DirectGLES twin
tables resolved a handle process-wide, so two contexts of one session that do
NOT share a share group - which have independent name spaces, so the same
{slot, gen} in both is legal - were handed the SAME twin, driver ids,
persistent map and pooled store included. Two contexts that DO share a group
were served by whichever of them twinned first. Design and per-slice shape:
docs/Disaggregated/design/11-state-ownership.md (S6).

Key: DirectGLES.h's TwinKey{SessionKey, ShareGroupKey} - the same two words
the applier's object records are filed under, with the group derived by
MGPipeApplierShareGroupKeyFor so a record and the twin describing it can never
land in different buckets. Session is in the key because a twin names a driver
id and no driver id crosses a connection.

Resolution: SessionRuntime.cpp's ResolveThreadTwinKey, installed by
InstallSessionRuntimeHooks beside the S2 PipeInputs probe, the S4 native
tuple key and the S5 applier key. It reads the ThreadSessionScope's session
and CurrentContextToken() - apply-thread state only, never MG_State, so the
frontend-keyed-lookup prohibition on the apply thread still holds. A thread
that belongs to no session answers {0, 0}, which is the process singleton this
replaces; the monolith and every unit case are unchanged by construction.

Shape: SlotTables.h's SlotTableRegistry holds one SharedPtr bucket per key,
with a thread-local last-key memo. It forwards every handle-keyed entry -
GetOrCreate, FindByHandle, LiveGenAt, HandleOf, StateForHandle,
NoteStateForHandle, ReleaseByHandle, ForEachLive, the counters - to the
CALLING THREAD's bucket, so the ~150 call sites in Managers.cpp and
DirectGLES.cpp are literally unchanged. The holder list stays process-wide: a
death notice is about an object, not a bucket, and each shared holder is one
bucket. ForEachLive now walks the calling thread's bucket (what a context can
see is its own group); the death and diagnostic walks take the new
ForEachBucket.

DropEveryTwinForEndedServerSession is session-scoped: it runs on the apply
thread of the session that is ending, while S2 lets neighbour sessions keep
rendering in the same process. No session on the thread keeps the old
process-wide drop verbatim. Managers.h's "a texture is owned by exactly one
context (share groups are not implemented)" is corrected: a texture belongs to
a share group and its sibling contexts legitimately mutate it.

Tests: MG_Test/Wire/TwinOwnershipTest.cpp, five cases driving the real twin
tables with no EGL and no wire - the same handle in two nonshared groups is
two twins and neither overwrites the other; two contexts of one group resolve
ONE twin; a per-session drop takes only that session's; a thread with no
session still gets the process-wide table; and the six-registry template
repeats the first three. Negative control run and reverted: making the
registry answer a single {0, 0} bucket turns four of the five red.

Full host ctest against a stashed baseline, compared by test name: 0 new
failures. The one name in the difference set
(LogForwardChannel.APeerThatStopsReadingCostsWarnLinesNotTheCallersTime) is a
pre-existing flake, failing on the baseline too with the identical assertion.
The 103-case acceptance set plus the five new cases is 108/108 green.

Remaining debts (documented): the unit shadows (g_activeTextureUnit,
g_boundTexturesCache, g_boundSamplersCache) are still process-global; the
driver-level glIsBuffer probe is still not usable on this host, so sharing is
proven at the twin layer (the twin IS the object holding the driver id); the
backend context/sync generations are still process-wide; the per-record
ContextSlot is still S1's edge declaration.

swung0x48 378020adf3 [Fix] (MG_Remote, P11 T0): the T0 POST also checks what the CPU writes through the held lock after the import and its first GPU use, in both directions - Mali-G1-Ultra passed the old single round (the import cleans the CPU cache) while its GPU saw 0/1024 post-import words, so T0 was granted and create-indirect-in-world-align1024 x Magma lost every Flywheel object on inproc/spawn (0.867/0.848); it now fails there and runs T2 (0.999984), and the Redmi passes both rounds and keeps T0 2026-09-30 10:21:46 -04:00
swung0x48 028cf4eb62 [Merge] (trace): take dev's create-indirect-in-world-align1024 fixture (a derived trace replacing the original create-indirect capture) and register its documentation-only derived_from key 2026-09-30 10:21:46 -04:00
swung0x48 08124c99f1 [Test] (trace): replace the create-indirect fixture with minecraft-1.21.1-neoforge-create-indirect-in-world-align1024, a derived trace and not the original capture - the desktop capture bound Flywheel's scatter lists at 16-byte SSBO offsets that Adreno 830 and Mali's Vulkan driver (64) reject, and fixture_tools/realign_buffer_ranges.cpp moves the 1,270 binds off a 1024-byte boundary onto 1024-aligned slots (3,812 calls inserted, target call 504631 -> 508443, host SSIM unchanged to 9 digits on both backends) 2026-09-30 10:00:26 -04:00
swung0x48 ac9ab078cc [Fix] (Espryt, P8-MF): the push arm's flush ladder keeps a partial range-invalidating map behind an upload-ring copy still queued on the store, as dev f973008c's pull arm does - FlushPendingRangesFrom's ring tier stamps ringCopyRetireSerial and InvalidateFlushAccessFor refuses tier 1 for a partial range while that copy is unretired (the whole-buffer orphan-map stays exempt); Adreno 830 loses the queued copy and create-instancing on the monolith arm drew terrain sections empty 2026-09-30 05:43:55 -04:00
swung0x48 3717424229 [Merge] (P8): merge dev f973008c - the Espryt partial-flush fix for a queued ring copy on Adreno 830 (wave 2 MD), and dev's empty-binding uniform block fix deduplicated against P11's 7784d6bb (one code path), UnboundUniformBlockScenario registered on the split arms 2026-09-30 04:34:15 -04:00
swung0x48 f973008c4d [Fix] (Espryt): a partial buffer flush no longer takes the range-invalidating map while an upload-ring copy into the same store may still be queued - Adreno 830 loses the queued copy, and create-instancing drew whole Embeddium terrain sections empty 2026-09-30 04:07:41 -04:00
swung0x48 39cd8fb73b [Merge] (P8): integrate package E - a texture readback the Espryt driver refuses is answered from the split server's staged store, which now follows glCopyImageSubData (FollowCopy, client-box merge, sticky driver-written mark, named decline texture-readback-store-declined); CopyImageStoreReadbackScenario on both backends x every arm plus the extent-scoped StoreRead knob; the dead CopyImageSubData+RENDERBUFFER latch goes (census 79 -> 78) 2026-09-30 02:17:51 -04:00
